Layne's passion for social justice and equity led her to join WHFPT in 2016. She is a former UT Austin Rapoport Center for Human Rights and Justice Graduate Fellow and earned her MFA in from the UT Austin New Writers Project in 2015. In her free time, she loves practicing aerial arts, running, and scoping out new restaurants in Austin.
