Dr. Richards, now retired, served for over 20 years as the Assistant Dean and Director of Admissions for UT-Austin’s College of Pharmacy.  Her teaching responsibilities included teaching Human Physiology to the College’s entering students. In addition, she developed and continues to lecture in a course for Liberal Arts students titled “Women’s Reproductive Health for non-Science Majors.”  She volunteered on the Lilith Fund hotline and served as President of its Board of Directors, and has testified extensively at the Texas Legislature against restrictions on reproductive health services. She received her PhD from Iowa State University in 1975 with an emphasis on Human Physiology.
